A major win for Volusia County.

After years of delays, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has approved a NEW START for a fully federally funded feasibility study to develop long-term hurricane and storm damage reduction solutions for Volusia County’s beaches.

This is a historic step toward protecting our families, homes, businesses, and the $4.3 billion economy our beaches support. After the devastation of Hurricanes Ian and Nicole, we couldn’t afford to wait any longer.

I’ll keep fighting to deliver the long-term solutions Florida’s coastline deserves.
