The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program (The Veterans Consortium), is a non-profit organization created to provide every qualifying veteran and family member legal representation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims at no charge. The Veterans Consortium recruits volunteer attorneys to represent appellants before the Court without charge; screens cases so that pro bono representati

on is provided in cases with merit; and offers comprehensive training in the field of veterans law, mentoring, and support to 300 volunteer attorneys across the United States. Since its inception, The Veterans Consortium has assisted over 10,000 veterans or their qualified family members and has trained nearly 3,000 volunteer attorneys. The Veterans Consortium is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit enterprise. It was founded in 1992 by The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, National Veterans Legal Services Program, and Paralyzed Veterans of America, in response to a request by the Court and from a Congressionally-created program administered by the Legal Services Corporation. A big pro bono shout out to the team at Littler Mendelson, who recently hosted our Volunteer Outreach & Education team for one of our Legal Lunch & Learns, inspiring more attorneys to donate their time and expertise to helping our nation's Veterans! Special thank you to Eduardo Reyes Chavez, Esq., Amanda McGinn Esq., and Brandon Mita, Esq., from Littler for being instrumental in making this happen.

Beyond serving our Discharge Upgrade clients, Littler attorneys are now also taking on federal appeals cases and helping Veterans at our legal clinics! We look forward to celebrating all your achievements!

As always, this important work would not be possible without the financial support of our partners at the DAV Charitable Trust, the DC Bar Foundation, and all of our Victory for Veterans partners.

So impressed with Ana Maria Bondoc and Dorion Prioleau at this week's National Coalition for Homeless Veterans Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. Ana Maria's panel on “When ‘Other Than Honorable’ Isn’t the End of the Story: Options for Homeless Veterans” was so informative, and contained real actionable steps to help Veterans experiencing PTSD, TBI, and MST.
Our deep gratitude to the DAV Charitable Service Trust for sponsoring our Discharge Upgrade Program and making this work possible.
