GREEN (Georgetown Renewable Energy and Environmental Network) is a not-for-profit energy action team founded by Georgetown University students with the conviction that sustainability is central to the world's future. We are committed to sustainability as a cause and an idea and we are dedicated to promoting environmental conservation, preservation and protection through education, advocacy and volunteer work. On Georgetown University's campus, throughout the nation's capitol, and around the world in places like Haiti, Malawi, and Paraguay, we work on real, concrete projects. We work with innovative technologies like solar power, geothermal heating, and energy savings techniques. All the while, we educate Georgetown students on the possibilities and careers in the clean energy field.

Following the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and countless other Black men and women who have lost their lives to racial violence, GREEN offers our condolences to these families and to Black communities as a whole. The justice system has failed you, and we grieve with you.
In light of these tragic events, we affirm our stance that Black lives matter and that we are committed to the fight against racism. We cannot stay on the sidelines as systems of injustice continue to extract, segregate, and exploit Black people and the environment.
As individuals in GREEN, it is our responsibility to learn and engage with the issues including racism and bigotry in the criminal justice system and the environmental movement. We are committed to providing an inclusive and safe space for members of the Black community. We recognize the history of racism in the environmental movement. We will strive to create an antiracist climate movement. We stand in solidarity with the black community, now and always. #blacklivesmatter

Fill out this form if you would be interested in partaking in the first ever GREEN Assassins. Assassins is a game in which all participants will be given a target and have to use their water gun to get their target out. Once they “eliminate” their target, they get their target’s target. This will continue until there is only 1 player left. The game master (Grant) will send everyone their target as well as monitor who gets who out. A full list of game rules and safety zones (spots where you can’t get your target i.e. in class) will be sent out once everyone has signed up!
