Staff had the opportunity to taste their new creations and provide feedback to the team for consideration as we kick off a new school year. This training was made possible in part by funding received from the Emeril Lagasse Foundation and Action for Healthy Kids.

Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain to participate in the Fun Run & Community Festival—together we raised over $54,000! The event featured booths highlighting over 20 local businesses and organizations, Zumba and Yoga classes, poetry reading, and lots of family-friendly activities like face painting, bouncy house, and soccer. We are so grateful to everyone who supported this event: volunteers, operations team, booth participants, donors, and event sponsors. Above all, thank you to the students and families who braved the weather to celebrate wellness with our community!

Thank you to Kevin Dietsch for capturing these beautiful moments from our event!

Last Friday we welcomed Kindergartener Luca as Head of School (for the Day)! Luca spent the day inspecting our entire campus with our operations team, overseeing (and taste testing) the community kitchen, and speaking with students, staff, and families about their hopes and dreams for our school.

Matilda Thouyaret (5to grado, DC Bilingual PCS)
Emil Armada (4to grado, Primaria Oyster Adams)
