The Oval Office is President Trump’s working office and features an iconic piece of history, the Resolute Desk, which was originally a gift to President Rutherford B. Hayes from Queen Victoria in 1880.
While the decorations within the Oval vary according to each President’s taste, a few items remain constant–such as the Presidential seal on the ceiling.
This year, holiday decorations in the Oval Office include a Christmas tree decorated with red and gold ornaments, bows, and leaves!

The White House is a uniquely private yet public space, serving as the home and office of the President as well as a widely visited museum. First Lady Melania Trump has been committed to maintaining the historic integrity of the People’s House, most notably with the recent restoration of the White House Rose Garden, which is featured in this year’s Gingerbread House.
This delectable wonder replicates the West Wing, Executive Residence, East Wing, and for the first time, the Rose Garden and the First Ladies’ Garden!
Constructed from 275 pounds of gingerbread dough, 110 pounds of pastillage dough, 30 pounds of gum paste, 25 pounds of chocolate, and 25 pounds of royal icing, the White House pastry team took extra care in making sure that every detail, down to the smallest blossom, paid homage to the beauty of this American treasure.
