Last month older adults were celebrated at the Eaton DC for the Seabury Resources for Aging, 16th Annual Leadership in Aging event. It was the first time in 2 years they were able to hold the event in person. I've been emceeing the event virtually for the last 2 years!
Mark Bucher of Medium Rare won the main award of the night for his efforts of providing ready-made meals for thousands of seniors at the start of the pandemic.
Seabury Resources for Aging provides thousands of older adults services like housing, food, transportation and care in the Dc area.

Thank you Le Kavacha Bistro for providing today’s Meals for Seniors benefitting Northwest Neighbors Village and Seabury Resources for Aging at Friendship Terrace. On the menu? Grilled salmon with rice and seasonal vegetables. Doing good through good food makes this a Feel Good Friday moment! Our thanks also to the NNV volunteers and Friendship Terrace staff who delivered today’s meals.
Thank you Tartufo Restaurant for preparing delicious meals today for residents of Seabury at Friendship Terrace! TMS’s Meals for Seniors program provides up to 95 meals each week to seniors in our community. Our thanks to ANC 3E for supporting this program which benefits Seabury Resources for Aging, Northwest Neighbors Village, and local, independent restaurants. When we work together as a community, everyone benefits!
