Mission: G-38 is the Army focal point for C-IED/EOD, weapons technical exploitation for current/emergent threats supporting the DOD Asymmetric Threat Defeat capability. G-38 integrates tasks and functions ISO the Complex Operational Environment providing policy and oversight of designated capabilities ensuring combatant commanders have prompt, sustained and dominant land power forces supporting national objectives. Quickly respond to immediate Warfighter needs by providing an enduring, institutionalized process for building trained and ready forces with rapid adaptability to Full Spectrum Operations to defeat emerging asymmetric/hybrid threats and their enabling human networks. The purpose for this website is to have a social media presence and to provide Army EOD with informational updates.

Elder, incoming interim Chief of Ordnance and Explosive Ord. Disposal Commandant, and Command Sgt. Maj. Petra M. Casarez, Ord. Corps CSM. Hoyle is headed to Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., where she will become commanding general, 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives Command (CBRNE). Brig. Gen. Michelle M.T. Letcher is scheduled to be the next Chief of Ordnance.
The first Saturday of May holds significance to those of us on here. Though we cannot be together tomorrow, We Remember. For those of you still serving, we here at HQDA continue to work to keep you off the wall.

Sgt. James G. Johnston was one of two servicemembers killed on June 25 by small-arms fire while engaged in combat in Uruzgan province, Afghanistan.

The memo at the following link from the Army G-1 approves a change to AR 670-1, Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, and DA PAM 670-1, Guide to the Wear and Appearance of Army Uniforms and Insignia, paragraph 19-29a, to allow fulltime wear of the EOD Brassard by all qualified EOD Soldiers.
