The members of the National Council on Disability celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, signed by President George H. W. Bush on July 26, 1990. 35 years ago, NCD released its federal report 'Toward Independence' that led to the drafting of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act. President George H.W. Bush referenced NCD in his statement on the day he signed the ADA into law.
