Good morning, Sixth and Seventh District Communities,

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth and Seventh Districts invite you to join us for Coffee with a Cop tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Starbucks located at 2800 Alabama Avenue SE.

This event is a great opportunity to meet members of both the Sixth and Seventh Districts in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether you have a question, would like to share a concern, or simply want to stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee with our officers, we welcome you to join us.

Building strong relationships with the communities we serve is a priority for both districts. Coffee with a Cop provides an opportunity for open conversation, meaningful connections, and positive engagement between our officers and the residents, businesses, and community partners we are proud to serve.

Come by, say hello, grab a cup of coffee, and connect with your neighborhood officers!

6th District Community Outreach assisted wirh a trip to a ropes obstacles course with the youth mentor group from DC Dream Center to strengthen community relations between MPD officers and students and Iron Star Foundation .

This Saturday (June 27th), Iron Star Foundation , along with Gospel Ark Temple Church and the MPDC Sixth District Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. , will host a food distribution event in the Gospel Ark Temple Church parking lot located at 4551 Benning Rd SE. The event will begin at 10:00 am and operate on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis while supplies last.

Greetings everyone:

The Sixth District, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will host our upcoming blood drive on Wednesday, July 8th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sixth District Community Room, located at 5002 Hayes Street NE.

During our February drive, we welcomed 37 donors, 19 of whom were first-time participants, and successfully collected 31 units of blood. The impact of our February drive is a direct reflection of the compassion and generosity within this community. Each donation plays a vital role in supporting patients and helping hospitals meet critical needs.

Donation appointments are available throughout the day, and we strongly encourage those who are able to participate to register early. Additional details can be found in the attached flyer. Your willingness to give continues to make a real difference. We look forward to building on this momentum and coming together once again to support this life-saving effort.
