Uzbekistan, in collaboration with and , will construct a 250-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic plant along with a 63-MW battery energy storage system, the first of its kind in Central Asia. This project is in line with one of Uzbekistan's 2030 strategy goals, which aims to increase the share of renewables in total energy consumption to 40%.
As we move towards our 2030 goal of 40% renewable energy within "Strategy 2030", we welcome American partners to join us in advancing sustainable energy technologies.

In the first four months of 2024, the country's exports to the U.S. reached 69.4 mln USD, marking a 30% increase and putting the country among our top 10 export destinations. President Шавкат Мирзиёев - Shavkat Mirziyoyev has just connected 6 new solar and wind power stations with a massive 2400 MW capacity! Thanks to a $2 billion investment, these solar and wind stations will produce 6 billion kWh of electricity each year, which is enough to ensure continuous power supply to 2 million homes. 🌐🌱 🇺🇿 | Uzbekistan is making strides towards SDG #1! In 2021, the poverty rate dropped to 11% based on the minimum food consumption methodology. In 2022, the poverty level was 14% based on the minimum consumption expenditure in Uzbekistan. The state has created the “Unified Register of Social Protection” information system, which provides the opportunity to digitalize social assistance. Additionally, training and events have become absolutely free for residents registered in the “Ayollar daftari”, “Yoshlar daftari” and “Temir daftar”.
