REMINDER: Join Rock Creek Conservancy tomorrow in honor of their 9th Annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup. This watershed-wide cleanup effort brings together thousands of volunteers to help clean-up the lands, banks, tributaries, and waters of Rock Creek throughout Maryland and D.C.

To register for the Broad Branch site, please visit: http://publicevents.force.com/Public_Event_Signup_Page?cid=7017000000162lB.

Volunteer support is what makes the Extreme Cleanup such an important event. In the past eight years, volunteers have collected a combined total of over 15,500 bags of litter, 85 tons of junk, 1000 tires, and 38,000 plastic bags. As a result of these efforts, many locations are much cleaner.
