When is peak bloom?
The National Park Service is forecasting peak bloom between March 23 and 26 this year. If accurate, that would once again be earlier than the average historic peak of April 4. Last season's peak did fall right in the center of NPS' predicted peak bloom window announced by D.C. leaders, which was between March 22 and March 25.

DC’s cherry blossoms enter ‘puffy white’ stage, approaching peak bloom

With the National Cherry Blossom Festival underway in D.C., the flowers have now entered the ‘puffy white’ stage, the last stage before peak bloom.

The National Park Service will announce their initial peak bloom prediction on March 1. All signs currently point to an early bloom. We've seen a much-warmer-than-normal January and February.
