New leaf blower regulations take effect today, January 1, 2022, that ban using gasoline-powered leaf blowers in the District of Columbia. Starting today, individuals or companies who continue to use gasoline-powered leaf blowers after this date will be subject to fines of up to $500 for each offense. Complaints can be filed online at dcra.dc.gov.
