CREDO is distinctly spiritual. Our goals are to build trust and facilitate an experience of unconditional acceptance, while affecting a heightened sense of responsibility. CREDO emphasizes individual investment in teamwork, community building and reconciliation. We invite reflection but do not attempt to “fix” people or force them to work on perceived “issues.” The intent is to look beyond behaviors to affirm each person as a unique creation of God with value and significance

The workshops will be held in the 2nd Floor Training Room of Building 4 (located behind the Aerobics Center) on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The address is 220 Brookley Ave SW, Washington, DC 20032.

Upcoming Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Workshops - JBAB
CREDO NDW will be conducting Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Workshops at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling on 24-25 July and 17-18 Sept from 0830-1630. Participants must attend 2 consecutive days.
ASIST is an interactive workshop in su***de first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may have thoughts of su***de and work with them to support their immediate safety. ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, but participants don't need any formal training prior to the workshop. Over the course of two days, ASIST participants experience powerful audiovisual learning, group discussions, skills practice, and role-play. This results in workshop graduates returning to their commands with significant su***de intervention skills along with the confidence and competence to use those skills.
The workshops will be held in the 2nd Floor Training Room of Building 4 (located behind the Aerobics Center) on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling. The address is 220 Brookley Ave SW, Washington, DC 20032.
Military, dependents, and civilians with base access are welcome. For more information, contact Angee Mitchell at [email protected] or (202) 404-8831. Registration is required.

General information

Though we will post the dates of our retreats here, and the phone number to our office, please know that we will only be able to register you for a retreat once we have received a registration form in our office. Registration forms are processd in the order in which they are received. Many times it is necessary for us to utilize a "stand-by" list. If the retreat fills up before your registration form is processed we will notify you and ask if you would like to be placed on the stand-by list. We regularly go to the stand-by list, however it may be the day before if not even the day of the retreat when you are notified that space is available --please keep this in mind if you are placed on the stand-by list.
