I was walking my new dog today, Ellie. I was talking to another dog walker and he mentioned there is a Facebook group called Bloomingdale Pups. I couldn't find it, but I found this page. Does anyone know what he might be talking about?
Hope to see you all of you this Saturday, 12-4 on the 100 block of U! Sign up for a free coupon for an ice cream sandwich, and stay for Granny and the Boys and ADULT MOON BOUNCE at the end!! Pups welcome of course!

LOST DOG!

Hi Bloomingdale and LeDroit Dog Friends :) Dos your dog have a special skill? A super waggy tail? A great costume? Come show him or her off at the Bloomingdale Dog Show Saturday May 18th at Crispus Attucks Park. It's part of the big Community Day fundraiser and its sure to be a great day!
Please join us for the upcoming community meeting to discuss the field/park improvements at the Park at LeDroit. The meeting will be Thursday, January 31 at 7pm at St. George's Episcopal Church, 160 U Street NW. This will be an opportunity to see DPR, DGS, and the contractors' (AMT Engineering and Bennett Group) proposal for the field improvements and for you to provide feedback.
Brief History of the Project:
- The field at the Park at LeDroit is in need of improvements. The old school's foundation was not properly removed so construction materials are surfacing, creating a dangerous play environment and preventing trees from growing
- With the help of Councilmember Nadeau, the Friends of the Park at LeDroit secured funding in the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget for field improvements to the Park at LeDroit
DGS selected AMT Engineering and Bennett Group to carry out this project
- On January 31, 2019 - DGS, DPR, and the contractors will present the plan to the community and seek feedback with the hopes of starting the field remediation this Spring
We hope to see you on Thursday, January 31 so you can learn more about the project and provide your feedback. Please share the meeting information with any neighbors and organizations that care about the park and the community.
Dog Park Clean-Up this Saturday! December 15 10am-11am. Come out to help the Friends of the Park at Ledroit even out the gravel, do some weeding, socialize with your fellow neighbor dog owners and put new durable fencing inside the little dog's park. See you there!
Greetings Neighbors,
It is time for another Friends of the Park at LeDroit Cleanup / Meetup this weekend. We will be gathering Saturday for a park cleanup, Saturday, November 17 from 10 - 11 am. It looks like it should be a brisk sunny day.
Come out to help pick up trash and clean the park or just schedule this hour to come use the park and meet some neighbors. Whether you want to pick up trash, clean up your garden plot, drop off some books in the kids free library, use the playgrounds, workout out on the exercise equipment, or take your dog to the park, we hope to see you on Saturday 11/17 from 10-11am. We will have some coffee for volunteers, first-come, first-served.
To support our work, including the park cleanups, special events and programming, our recent school supplies giveaway, etc., consider donating to the Friends of the Park at LeDroit by visiting our page on Green Spaces for DC: Friends of the Park at LeDroit. We appreciate any help you can provide:

Anyone know this dog? It was loose on Florida this afternoon and I tried to catch it-it bit me and got away and I'm at ER for vaccines now.
