PRFAA and the City of Kissimmee Renew Agreement to Serve the Puerto Rican Community in Osceola County
"When we had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor of Kissimmee José Álvarez and the local authorities of the County, we reiterated our commitment to work hand- in-hand with local governments to continue supporting and improving services to the Puerto Rican community in Florida, ” said Jennifer M. Storipan, Esq. Executive Director of the PRFAA Office in Washington, D.C. "Today, with this announcement, we continue that agenda and we thank Mayor Álvarez and his Administration for their commitment to the Puerto Rican community."
For his part, Anthony Carrillo Filomeno, Esq., Regional Director of PRFAA’s Florida Office said that with the departure of PRFAA from the city of Kissimmee in 2018, many Puerto Ricans didn’t have access to services and had difficulty traveling to receive the services particularly, our senior citizens. On Friday, August 28, 2020 and on future dates, Puerto Ricans will be able to receive services and their vital documents by making an appointment today on the new PRFAA portal, www.prfaa.pr.gov/book and choosing the section “Services in the City of Kissimmee." “We are pleased to be able to work with Mayor Álvarez and the authorities in Osceola County to continue serving our community.” concluded Mr. Carrillo.
