⚠️ UPDATED TRAVEL GUIDANCE FROM THE US TO IRELAND 🇺🇸 🇮🇪

From 19 July, a fully vaccinated person traveling from the US to Ireland will not need a pre-departure PCR test or be required to home quarantine on arrival. Proof of being fully vaccinated (e.g. CDC-issued vaccination card) is required.

Travelers who are not fully vaccinated still require a negative pre-departure PCR test taken within 72 hours before arrival in Ireland. 14 day home quarantine will apply, but a negative PCR test taken 5 days after arrival can end your quarantine early.

Children ages 12 - 17 will be required to have a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival, unless they have valid proof of vaccination or recovery. Children of any age, traveling with accompanying vaccinated or recovered adults, will not be required to self-quarantine post arrival. However, where one accompanying adult needs to self-quarantine, then all children must also self-quarantine.

ALL passengers, vaccinated or not, must complete the Online Passenger Locator Form. This will be checked by your airline before departure. https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/ab900-covid-19-passenger-locator-form/

Please note that all guidance is subject to change and the Embassy recommends review the www.gov.ie website before traveling. Full details available here: https://www.gov.ie/en/campaigns/75d92-covid-19-travel-advice/

Out in the World: Celebrating Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Diaspora in the US

TONIGHT is the US launch of ‘Out in the World: Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Diaspora’, a new exhibit by EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum celebrating the extraordinary lives of Ireland’s LGBTQ+ Diaspora. 🇮🇪🏳️‍🌈

‘Out in the World’ presents a dozen stories from the vast yet largely untold history of Ireland’s LGBTQ+ diaspora. It is the first exhibition to celebrate the role that Irish emigrants have played in making Ireland and the world a more inclusive place for LGBTQ+ people. The Irish in America feature prominently, with compelling profiles of the Irish ties to the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion and the landmark equality campaigns of the Irish Le***an and Gay Organization (ILGO), alongside remarkable personal histories of Irish LGBTQ+ emigrants to the US who found love and fought for the rights of their community abroad.

Joining us for the launch are: Senator Edward J. Markey, former Irish Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Katherine Zappone, Ambassador Daniel Mulhall, journalist Quentin Fottrell, President Biden’s Senior Advisor on LGBTQ+ issues Reggie Greer, founding member of ILGO Paul O’Dwyer, and exhibit curator Dr. Maurice J Casey.
