We pause today to reflect on the 25th anniversary of the tragic terrorist attacks that claimed nearly 3,000 lives. With deepest gratitude and eternal reverence for the heroes of 9/11, we vow to never forget.

Earlier this week, Joint Task Force-National Capital Region led DoW ceremonial and musical support to honor the late Senator Lindsey O. Graham during a Congressional Tribute in the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol and a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Behind every congressional funeral is a team of dedicated service members standing by at a moment's notice to honor a lifetime of public service. This solemn duty requires flawless precision and unwavering discipline—proving that our armed forces are as sharp in their reverence as they are ready for the mission.

The U.S. Army Field Band's Six-String Soldiers give audiences a boost of patriotic pride at their performances, but they also get a boost themselves from the many hand shakes and thanks they receive from the American public. Just like every show, they had people clapping, smiling and dancing during their lively performance at the Southland Jamboree in Lexington, Kentucky, earlier this month as they celebrated America's 250th birthday.

You make us stronger! Our Soldiers find renewed strength and encouragement when they connect with people across the nation as they share the Army story through their musical performances. This past month, Soldiers from The U.S. Army Field Band inspired audiences in California, Pennsylvania and New Jersey with patriotic and uplifting music to celebrate America's 250th birthday!
