We provide pathways to success for youth in the National Capital Region through skills training, paid/meaningful work experiences, impactful relationships, professional certifications, and college and career support. Throughout the program, students realize firsthand that they can thrive in a corporate environment and that pursuing a professional career can help them achieve a much higher standard

of living than they are accustomed to. In fact, over 95 percent of Genesys Works graduates enroll in college immediately after high school, and most are the first in their family to do so.

Today, our Genesys Works National Capital Region students had the opportunity to learn from an incredible team at Comcast during a dynamic Personal Branding Workshop as part of Comcast Team Up Day.

A special thank you to Martel Neville for leading the Comcast volunteer team and creating an experience that was engaging, interactive, and informative for our 60 student trainees. Through thoughtful discussions, practical advice, and real-world insights, students gained valuable tools to help them communicate their strengths, develop their professional presence, and build confidence as they prepare for internships, college, and future careers.

At Genesys Works NCR, we believe that exposure to caring professionals and workplace expertise is essential to helping young people realize their potential and navigate successful career pathways. We are grateful for partners like Comcast who generously share their time, talent, and knowledge with our students.

We are proud to share that Genesys Works National Capital Region is officially part of Spur Local's new cohort.

This recognition helps amplify our mission to equip high school students from underserved communities with the skills, experiences, and professional networks they need to succeed in college, career, and life.

At Genesys Works NCR, we believe that every young person deserves access to meaningful opportunities, career exposure, and pathways to economic mobility. Through workforce readiness training, paid internships, and ongoing support, we help students build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in today’s workforce.

We are honored to join a network of community-driven organizations making a meaningful impact across the Greater Washington region and grateful for the opportunity to increase awareness of our work and the students we serve.

Welcome to Genesys Works National Capital Region, Cohort 11!

Last Friday, we capped the first week of Summer Training with Team Up, bringing together our Class of 2027 for an energizing start to their journey. The day was filled with excitement, connection, and the first steps toward building a strong, supportive community.

Students had the opportunity to meet their peers, collaborate, and begin forming the relationships that will carry them through their Genesys Works experience and beyond.

We are thrilled to watch this cohort grow, build new skills, and step confidently toward their future careers. The talent, potential, and drive in this group are undeniable—and this is just the beginning.

What an unforgettable night at the Breaking Through Awards & Gala!
