Success is nothing more than a state of mind, a way of thinking, it's a mindset that influences and defines every decision you make.

Helping Other People Everyday Mentoring is a complex intervention that is both individualized and personal.
The characteristics of mentoring reflect the needs discussed by many returning citizens in the community, in prison and those resettling back into the community; they ask for support which is based on a one-to-one relationship, trust, respect and support which takes into account their choices. Explore client’s needs from nine different pathways which is a good starting point for learning all need

Restored the Vote Press Release
I want to thank Councilmember Robert White for his leadership and commitment to addressing voting rights for the District's incarcerated residents. Earlier this year I shared the Commission on Re-Entry and Returning Citizen Affairs key priorities which included expanding voting rights to incarcerated District residents with felony convictions. Enacting this legislation will secure an expansion of rights for thousands of District residents and help lead a national effort.
We as DC residents, advocates, Councilmemebers, and Commissioner’s support the Restore the Vote Amendment Act 2019.

Everything you do should be an expression of your purpose. If a activity doesn't fit that formula you wouldn't work on it.
If you're not excited to get to work on Monday you should be putting together a plan immediately to get out of what you're doing. So Many of you reading this and dreading the weekend is over and you need to get back to doing thing you don't enjoy. That's not a way to live.
You have one life and you are the CEO of your life.
Today Ready Set Grow program ask questions from our Dunbar youth. To help them transition from behaviors patterns to compliance.
.
Who are you?
What do you value the most?
And they had to write there answer on the board so we could see apart of them that they don’t share, we had this discussion to open up and also talk about there biggest challenges right now.
We have to get to the core of the problem if we want our kids to be successful, create a safe atmosphere so we can support each other.
We will set the Foundation to introduce this to all DCPS, my goal is every child the come in contact with will be safe, successful and educated.
Give them what you didn’t have....

State of Emergency
Thinking about where I come from ( the pit of hell ) by choice, I became a product of my environment, but this is unacceptable ....our kids are dying because we won't acknowledge the ELEPHANT 🐘 in the room..... we are to busy talking about returning citizens but there's a generation that are getting prime and ready to fill the jails which will continue to reproduce new slaves. I take this personal because one I'm a Returning Citizens and two I understand the brokenness that being represented ..... they are being influenced by this lifestyle that I call the Death style...... and the media not only to misrepresent us but DESTROY US.....
😡😡😡
I told myself the bottom is too crowded, was my motivation to excel, the transformation started as soon as I went into solitary confinement to be processed for population, 30 days to process all of the s**t I put myself through, how I left my daughter without a father and I just turned 37 in the hole.
.
.
.
I was fed up with how I let the lifestyle and drugs ruin my careers and the success that I dreamed as a child, what happened?
.
How did I end up at the bottom?
Certified Plumber
Certified in Culinary
Manager for Stores
Special Police with a gun
Scholarchips in Architectural Drafting
What happened? How did I end up in a bandominium looking out the windows like Malcolm X, trying to see who I could prey on.
My mom work to hard to see her son as a certified bum. See the story is real and I have one, it’s not pretty and I’m not ashamed of it.
BECAUSE IT CREATED WHAT YOU SEE TODAY!!!!
The hit to this is, this is not a fad, this is my life ...... my pain has been the urn into my passion, I live, breath transformation and recovery.
The only I did perfect after being released in 9/29/07 was I QUIT......
The streets , the drugs, the distribution, the friends, and my thinking.
People think I hey can walk out of jail and jump right in position, nope you have to crawl before you walk.... and I started with a air mattress and sometimes I woke up on the floor, with third party custody clothes from Salvation Army, and one pair of Jordans my nephew gave me.
THE BOTTOM IS WHERE I COME FROM.
🤷🏾♂️🙏🏾💯👊🏾✊🏾✈️✈️✈️

Stand in Solidarity
Let your pain make you. Let your sorrows guide you. Let your mistakes teach you, but never let your defeat beat you.
Educate them youngins, keep planting seeds 🌱 get in there way, be a mentor pull them out of the street for a day, have lunch with them, be an influence, let them see something other than the streets. If you be consistent with watering the seed,
THE STREETS WILL BECOME UNATTRACTIVE AND THEY WILL LOOK FOR YOUR GUIDANCE......
I’ve broken at least 20 cycles of dysfunction with kids I’ve came in contact with, became families to parents and began to be a buffer in the household.

Ready Set Grow
Deliveries 💯💯💯💯
I think we started something, the Ready Set Grow program has become a safe place for giving our youth reinforcement why Education is important. We started with 6 to 8 now the referrals are coming in from teachers from different grades. Thank you for pouring into our kids with following their dreams, connecting to resources and working through difficulties and challenges.
We’re going to give them all we got and the resources to helping them to become successful.
