Drone pilots: Wildfires are a !
Drones can force firefighting aircraft to land, delaying critical response efforts and allowing fires to grow. Violators may face significant fines and criminal prosecution. Always check TFRs before you fly: https://tfr.faa.gov/.

๐Ÿšซ NO DRONE ZONES ๐Ÿšซ

The Oregon Department of Emergency Management and Oregon Department of Aviation urge all drone operators: Never fly drones over or near active wildfires. ๐—œ๐—ณ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ณ๐—น๐˜†, ๐˜„๐—ฒ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป'๐˜.

When a drone is spotted, lifeโ€‘saving aircraft must stop operationsโ€”putting firefighters and communities at risk.

The consequences are serious:
๐Ÿ’ธ Up to $75,000 in civil fines
โ›“๏ธ Up to 12 months in federal prison
๐Ÿ“ต Confiscation of equipment
๐Ÿ›‘ Permanent revocation of pilot certificates

Before you fly, always check Temporary Flight Restrictions. If you see an unauthorized drone near a wildfire, call 9โ€‘1โ€‘1. More guidance: oregon.gov/aviation
