The Edgewood/Brookland Family Support Collaborative E/BFSC is a community-based, non-profit organization, driven by the mission to strengthen families and build vibrant communities in Wards 5 & 6.

Since our founding in 1996, E/BFSC has been engaged in providing an array of neighborhood-based prevention services to (1) strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect before signs are present; (2) address at-risk families who have one or more risk factors that are associated with child maltreatment; and (3) provide support to families to reduce the incidence of a recurrence of child abuse and neglect.. We have developed and implemented our programs by building the capacity of our communities to strengthen families’ protective factors and support the healthy development of children. E/BFSC services are provided through the Family Preservation and Support Program, Community Capacity Building Program, and Workforce Development.
