As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, it's worth recognizing one of the country's newest engineering achievements.

For years, the Gulf of America Paleogene was considered beyond the reach of existing commercial technology. American engineers, offshore workers, manufacturers, and Gulf Coast companies changed that. Today, projects like Chevron's Anchor and Beacon Offshor's Shenandoah are producing, while bp America's Kaskida moves toward development, the result of years of innovation, rigorous safety standards, and remarkable technical expertise.
