DHS released its first Strategic Framework for Addressing Climate Change today to guide the Department’s efforts to combat the climate crisis. The DHS Strategic Framework for Addressing Climate Change will enhance the Department’s focus on:
✅ Empowering communities to develop resilience;
✅ Building readiness to respond to emergencies;
✅ Incorporating climate into strategy, policy, programs, and budgets;
✅ Investing in a sustainable and resilient DHS; and,
✅ Educating the DHS workforce on climate change.
