After 1/6, members stood w/ our Capitol Police - lining the tunnel to the Capitol with words of support, their offices with signs of appreciation, bringing them lunch/ breakfast in the days following. Thank you again to all the officers for their service that day and every day. A year later, Republicans cont to honor our Capitol Police officers by fighting for real change within the leadership that left the Capitol so unprepared that day. Unfortunately, there’s been too few changes to our security & not enough accountability from those in charge. Read Ranking Member Rep. Rodney Davis's full memo on what needs to be done to protect our officers and ensure we never have a breach of the Capitol like we saw a year ago today. https://mailchi.mp/c1f2917885a5/house-admin-republicans-update-13412114

Democrats aren’t celebrating the historic voter turnout from the 2018 midterm elections - the highest in 4 decades, especially among minority voters. We should celebrate the good work the Voting Rights Act is doing! H.R. 4 that will be voted on in the House today is NOT reauthorizing the Voting Rights Act - VRA is still protecting voters today! H.R. 4 is the Democrats giving more power to the federal government.
With a unanimous vote, the House passed H.R. 4924 and H.Res. 724, Congressional Accountability Act Reform measures. These measures are the result of a bipartisan and comprehensive review of the training, policies, and mechanisms related to harassment and discrimination. Chairman Gregg Harper and Ranking Member Robert Brady spoke in support of these measures on the House Floor.
