Strong partnerships are built through dialogue and shared purpose. During a recent meeting with leaders of the Mexican Army Secretary Driscoll focused on advancing cooperation in the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) marketplace. By sharing operational experiences, capabilities, and lessons learned, we are strengthening our partnership and identifying opportunities to accelerate innovation in support of our Soldiers and the security of our nations.

It was great to welcome Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, and GEN Tharapong Malakam, Permanent Secretary of Defense, to the Pentagon. We had a productive conversation about how our nations work together to preserve peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific.

Secretary Driscoll visited the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment to hear directly from pilots and crews to get their perspective and better understand what we need from our industry partners.

It’s a logically structured, ruthlessly efficient operation. This is the standard we should be chasing across our industrial base because this is how we deliver for Soldiers.

Spent time with the Utah National Guard and visited Dugway Proving Ground to see how we’re strengthening the Army’s testing infrastructure and expanding opportunities for industry to move new capabilities to Soldiers faster. Stopped by Dugway Proving Ground to see where one of the first data centers will be built in collaboration with private industry and to get a firsthand look at the Army’s testing infrastructure. Developing new technology is only the first step. We also need places where it can be tested under realistic conditions. That’s why we’re working to make Army ranges more accessible to defense industry partners and speed the delivery of new capabilities to the force.
