A family is a circle of love not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories.
We are forever blessed that God connected us to you.
Rest in peace, Cheryl Davis. You have mentored and made a difference in countless amount of lives in the Young Marines Program. Your sacrifice and dedication will never be forgotten.
This past Saturday, 8th & I went to the SHARE Warehouse to prepare boxes for Thanksgiving and spice packets to go in the boxes. This is one of their favorite places to go to do community service. I just love the spirit of these youth. We are 8th & I Strong!
The 8th & I Young Marines had a very busy weekend. Saturday morning they went to the Pentagon South Parking Lot and participated in the Marine Corps Kids Run. Saturday evening they attended the Battalion Young Marine Ball. They danced and fellowshipped with Young Marines from Nation’s Capital and Oxon Hill. Our YM/Private Lopez received a 3rd degree lifesaving ribbon for efforts to safe a woman during the summer. After all the dancing, they went home and got up early this morning to go support the participants of the Marine Corps Marathon. These young people put their all into the event today. I am so proud of each and everyone of them.

8th & I Young Marines Bonefrog Challenge Obstacle Course
These recruits and Young Marines had a great scavenger hunt around the National Mall. We found us some World War II and Korean War vets!! I'm so glad the kids had the smarts to stop and take the time to meet these amazing veterans.
