Mayor Gray’s D.C. Youth Advisory Council is gearing up for its 2012-2013 session. This is an exciting opportunity for District of Columbia youth ages 13-22 to serve as agents of change in their communities by representing the ideas and perspectives of their peers. Priority is given to ensuring representation of as many schools, demographic groups, and neighborhoods as possible. The application deadline has been extended to Friday August 31, 2012. There are a number of public parking garages in the neighborhood that are available for a fee. By Metrorail Take the Green Line to U Street/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo station. Exit up the U Street side escalator. Once at ground level, walk on U Street west to 14th Street. The Reeves Center is diagonally across the street from you at 14th and U.
