Recently, we took a trip to a small town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains — Helvetia, West Virginia. Settled by Swiss and German immigrants in 1869, this charming village continues to preserve its Swiss heritage. More than 150 years later, Helvetia feels a little like with its crisp mountain air and Swiss traditions that still play an important role in the lives of its residents.
