Netcentric Campaigns

Netcentric Campaigns Netcentric Campaigns transforms advocacy for foundations and nonprofits by building networks of people to move change forward. Great movements move the world forward.

Our fractured times call for a new way to empower movements. Today’s technology offers the promise of bringing together fractured groups, but too often isn’t harnessed correctly to do so. Organizations find it increasingly easy to send out email blasts or try to start online campaigns. They have engaged in network-type activities but haven’t created the necessary infrastructure to create a high capacity advocacy network. We believe that complex social problems require advocacy networks to solve them. There is no magic bullet to solve childhood obesity or address climate change. There are hundreds if not thousands of groups attempting to address these multifaceted problems in one aspect or another. A group in Kansas is trying to build more playgrounds, while another in Detroit is trying to get more nutritious food in their schools, while yet another is focused in limiting food marketing to kids in Boston. Childhood obesity doesn’t end when one succeeds, but when they and thousands of others do. Today, we need a network centric approach to bring movements forward. This is what we do. Netcentric Campaigns works with leaders and advocates to create meaningful connections to move their collective causes forward. People drive movements, so we offer a people-driven strategy enabled by technology, not the other way around. We focus on who needs to be connected and how to align a network to that information and resources can flow quickly and efficiently to help people engage and act. We consult on how to build such a network; provide the tools and expertise to make the right connections; help identify, curate and create the most relevant content to provide value to the network; and design campaigns to engage leaders and their constituents in a disciplined and coordinated fashion. Organizing and mobilizing has always been about aligning the actions of the people who need the problem fixed. This alignment doesn’t happen overnight or by accident. It requires a very specific skill set of people who see the networks all around us, who can leverage today’s technology to make them work for a better world, and who, in general, understand what it takes to connect people.

Mission: Netcentric Campaigns mobilizes advocacy networks for nonprofits and Foundations to successfully champion change.

Why coordination among collective efforts is key!

From Raleigh to Los Angeles, communities on the frontlines are building the movement infrastructure for a coordinated fightback. “One thing that is very clear under the Trump administration is that we do not have the luxury of remaining in our silos and organizing around individual issues,” Manzoor…

A Call for the Networked Resistance

“Upset” doesn’t seem like a big enough word to characterize what has happened. This is our call to action.

We have woken up to a shift in power that will transform Congress, the White House and the Supreme Court. The promises made for the first 100 days of this new presidency include ferocious attacks on the marginalized — all to the benefit of those...
