Today we did a walk through of our project, Sarah's Circle Apartments in Washington, DC. Apartment renovations are going smoothly, with new flooring and appliances going in.
Great tour today. Phase I residents will start returning to their brand new units in January!
The construction is happening! Very soon we will have expanded the facility to 49 units of affordable housing for senior citizens, and modernized the entire building. Good stuff!
We are excited to share a few photos of our renovation progress to date with many more to come as we reach critical milestones in the project.
You probably wouldn't recognize it but this is the first floor of the building. We have begun framing the units and corridors and are working toward finishing phase one of construction in early December 2017!
Our friends at FM-31 just launched a Kickstarter campaign to support Sarah's Circle! Their journals offer more than just blank pages to be reflective, creative, and thoughtful; they actually do something to make our world a better place. In fact, 20 percent of the proceeds from each Senior Stories Journal pack will be donated to Sarah's Circle and each journal features original poetry from some of the members of our poetry workshop. Please click on the Kickstarter link below to learn more about this innovative partnership!
