American Coalition for Fathers and Children - ACFC

American Coalition for Fathers and Children - ACFC ACFC is America's Shared Parenting Organization The members of the American Coalition for Fathers and Children dedicate ourselves to the creation of a family law system and public awareness which promotes equal rights for ALL parties affected by issues of the modern family.

ACFC is challenging the current system of American family law and policy. Through a national system of local affiliates and in alliance with other pro-family and civil liberties groups, ACFC is shifting the public debate to the real causes of family dissolution.

Mission: We, the members of the American Coalition for Fathers and Children, hereby dedicate ourselves and our efforts to the creation of a family law system, legislative system, and public awareness which promotes equal rights for ALL parties affected by divorce, and the breakup of a family or establishment of paternity. It is our belief through our involvement and dedication, we can have a positive effect on the emotional and psychological well-being of children. We believe equal, shared parenting time or joint custody is the optimal custody situation. We believe the best parent is both biological parents. We believe grandparents should have rights and access to their grandchildren. We believe gender bias should be eliminated from family law and from future legislation. We believe BOTH biological parents should be responsible for the emotional and psychological well-being of their children, as well as financially responsible. We believe in the concept of fairness and equity in support for ALL families; and, that all children involved in a blended family should have equal rights, and do deserve equal rights and equal protection under the law. We believe child support orders should be reasonable, realistically reflect the cost of the children's basic needs, and reflect the relative parenting contribution of both parents in a shared parenting plan. We believe when parents are given equal rights, equal responsibility follows; when parents have equal access to their children and support levels are reasonable and reflect the true cost of raising a child, parents will comply with court orders. We believe when equity is created in our laws, the conflicts inherent in divorce situations dissolve and that, in the end, this is the greatest gift which we, as parents, could possibly bestow on our children. ACFC's mission is shared parenting.

"Possession and access shall not be affected by the school’s closure that arises from an epidemic or pandemic, including what is commonly referred to as the COVID-19 pandemic. The original school schedule as published should still be followed. The standard possession order, if that is what you have, is still in effect."

All parents advocating for Equal Parenting must come together to get it done!

If we had equal shared parenting there would not have been a motive for the mother to make false allegations which eventually gave the father sole custody which made the mother kill their son and herself. Our family courts are broken and destroying our society.

Shared Parenting After Divorce Gains New Attention

Great Shared Parenting article today with comments from our friends at Leading Women for Shared Parenting.
http://www.lifezette.com/momzette/shared-parenting-after-divorce-gains-new-attention/

Should parents have shared, 50-50 custody (or close to it) after a divorce? A new study says yes. The status quo relative to child custody proceedings right now in the United States is that children — especially young children — should have a “primary parent” (usually the mother) after a divorce, vi...

Why shared parenting is a moral, feminist, and economic issue

Leading Women for Shared Parenting has done an excellent job demonstrating Shared Parenting has broad appeal and is not simply a Father's Rights issue. Here is a first class interview with LW4SP co-founder Terry Brennan on the subject.

The growing momentum of the father's rights and shared parenting movement is changing the way families co-parent and divorce.

Did this election cycle remind anyone of a contested custody case where litigants try to portray each other as evil personified, then once it's over both parties are admonished to "just get along?"

Rick Scott vetoes contentious alimony bill - Florida Politics

NO friend of families, Florida Governor Rick Scott vetoes Shared Parenting and Alimony Reform bill.

Dear Secretary Detzner:
By the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Florida, under the provisions of Article III, Section 8, of the Constitution of Florida, I do hereby veto and transmit my objections to Committee Substitute for Committee Substitute for Senate Bill 668, enacted during the 118th Session of the Legislature of Florida, during the Regular Session of 2016 and entitled:

Gov. Rick Scott has vetoed a controversial alimony bill. Among other things, the bill would have changed the way Florida judges can award alimony with the intent to eliminate what critics have called “forever alimony.” For example, the measure allows courts to reduce alimony payments if there is a “…

44 nabbed in child support sweep in Somerset County

Continuing the theme of child support round-ups. (yeehaw, don't you just love how CS enforcers view people as cattle) New Jersey arrested 44 people and collected a whopping $6,305.42, meaning an average of $143 per person arrested. And this passes for enlightened public policy? Hmm...could it be that shared parenting is not universal because there's no money in it from the family law industry and government perspective? How much do you think it cost taxpayers to fund this? Try over $5.5 billion per year. http://www.mycentraljersey.com/story/news/local/somerset-county/2016/03/01/44-parents-accused-not-paying-child-support/81156252/

Woman in jail for back child support speaks out

Making the rounds out of Phoenix this child support story demonstrates how the family law industry and government joined forces to politicize, monetize, criminalize and terrorize women, men and their children. For over 25 years, a primary architect of the present system is the current director of the federal office of child support enforcement, Vicki Turetsky.
