Training in many areas of Native housing management;
On-site technical assistance for Native housing professionals; and

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) took a pioneering step to understand the housing conditions of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. From 2011 to 2017, NORC at the University of Chicago, along with the Urban Institute and partners, conducted an extensive study to inform housing policy.

USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack joined tribal leaders at the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) general assembly, announcing a groundbreaking $62 million for key initiatives. This includes $42 million for Indigenous Animals Harvesting and Meat Processing Grants, $18 million for projects under the Tribal Forest Protection Act, and $2.3 million to support Indigenous foods in school meal programs. NAIHC services to its members and the general public include: -Advocacy for housing opportunities and increased funding for Native American housing and community development programs; -Training in many areas of Native housing management; -On-site technical assistance for Native housing professionals; and -Research and information services related to Native housing issues and programs.
