In its reporting on the ICJ's “advisory opinion,” Jüdische Allgemeine highlighted B'nai B'rith's statement fiercely criticizing the ICJ for parroting the overt, exhaustive bias of the U.N. General Assembly – the political body that commissioned the “opinion.”

Our Special Advisor Adriana Camisar attended a series of commemorative events with global government officials, including Argentine Pres. Javier Milei, leaders from across Latin America and members of Congress.

The commemoration underscored the ongoing lack of accountability for those behind this heinous crime and the continued pursuit of justice for victims of the attack and the Jewish community of Argentina.

“This is a very important anniversary because it marks 30 years of impunity,” said Camisar, who has worked on this legislative measure for several years. “The survivors, the relatives of the victims and all the people of Argentina deserve to finally see that the perpetrators are brought to justice.”

Honored to meet with Israeli Pres. Isaac Herzog for a special ceremony in his office in Jerusalem, where B'nai B'rith Israel's Ilan Shchori presented him with a copy of his new book on the history of Tel Aviv. 🇮🇱

Highlighting B'nai B'rith's crucial impact in Israel since at least 1890, Pres. Herzog praised Shchori's book, which includes a chapter on B'nai B'rith's pivotal role in the development of Tel Aviv and the State of Israel.

“After all, my family has a deep connection to this wonderful organization," Pres. Herzog said.

"Beginning with my grandfather, Israel's first Ashkenazi chief rabbi, Rabbi Isaac Halevi Herzog, was a member of the historic [B'nai B'rith] Jerusalem Lodge, and also my father Chaim Herzog, the sixth president [of Israel], was a member and active in it."

We mourn the passing of pioneer Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

We were proud to honor her in 2013 with an award “For a Life’s Career of the Betterment of Humanity Throughout the World.”

She survived the Holocaust by escaping to Switzerland via a Kindertransport from N**i-occupied Germany. She lived an amazing life.

Incredibly after growing up in a children’s home, she fought in the Israeli army for Israel’s independence.

B'nai B'rith strongly supports the Argentine government's decision to send a bill to Congress – 30 years after the 1994 Jewish center bombing in Buenos Aires – that would enable "Trials in Absentia" in cases involving crimes against humanity, war crimes or genocide.

This bill would require those accused of planning and executing the bombing to face trial even if they continue to refuse to appear before Argentine courts, as most are being protected by the Iranian regime.

“The accused in the AMIA case have deliberately evaded the Argentine justice system for too many years,” said Adriana Camisar, B’nai B’rith special advisor on Latin American and U.N. Affairs.

“It is time for the survivors, the relatives of the victims and the people of Argentina to know the truth about who planned and executed this terrible criminal act.”
