The AMIA Bombing, 30 Years Later | Remembering the 1994 Bombing of the AMIA Jewish Center in Buenos Aires
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐀 𝐁𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐈𝐍𝐆, 𝟑𝟎 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐍 | Our Eduardo Kohn and Adriana Camisar speak with AMIA Executive Director Daniel Pomerantz as we commemorate 30 years since the 1994 terrorist bombing of the AMIA Jewish Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Pomerantz, himself a survivor of the attack, reflects on three decades since the AMIA tragedy that killed 85 people and injured hundreds more. He discusses the lasting impact of the bombing on Argentine Jewry and the urgent need to bring to justice those who committed what remains Latin America's deadliest terror attack.
This conversation is in Spanish with English subtitles.
It remains the deadliest terrorist attack in Latin American history. On July 18, 1994, a car-bomb exploded in front of the AMIA Jewish center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, killing 85 people and injuring hundreds.
30 years later, it is long past time for the survivors, relatives of the victims, the people of Argentina, and those around the world with a moral compass to know the truth about who planned and executed this heinous crime – and bring them to justice.
