CALL FOR TECHNOLOGY!!
-----
Our first school in Liberia, which is located just outside the capital city of Monrovia, is GROWING. Next year, the graduating juniors will become high school seniors, making the transition from a grade prek-8 school to a full Prek-12 school COMPLETE. It is very exciting to get to serve even more bright young people further down their journey of education. And--especially for our high school students--we badly need more technology to support their education and digital literacy learning. We are currently calling for:

GSM UNLOCKED phones and tablets and laptop computers in good condition. Equipment can be sent to the following address. It must be received by May 5. Please give us a heads up of any shipments:

End of Year Push on Messima School Construction | FUEL Youth

An update from the field. We are doing another big push on construction at Messima school these next 3 weeks, and we need to pull in some more financial support to continue to develop this amazing school and resource. http://fuelyouthliberia.org/end-of-year-push-on-messima-school-construction/

Our co-founder and director of programs, Edward Fahnbulleh, has been in Liberia since August of this year, spending time with his family, and moving education in Liberia forward. The school in Messima village has come a long way this Fall, and we are hoping to do another big push on it in the next 3...

Build a School, Build a Future

FUEL presents to you, the 12 reasons to give to our online campaign this Christmas

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/build-a-school-build-a-future--2/x/5737906

1) Because this guy. Just watch this. He is our co-founder and inspiration - http://specials.washingtonpost.com/mv/onbeing/69/

2) Because it's a tax write off -- donations to FUEL Youth are 100% tax-deductible, as we are a 501c3 non-profit

3) Because it is the season for giving

4) Because you haven't finished your Christmas shopping -- give the gift of a school to your loved ones by contributing!

5) Because these kids - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=behFX591Zpw

6) Because of this kind named Mamadou with a great smile; he needs a school - http://fuelyouthliberia.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/mamadou.jpg

7) Because of this young girl, Esther, in her spongebob shirt; she wants a school - http://fuelyouthliberia.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/esther.jpg

8) Because Liberia needs a lot of help….after terrible civil war in the '80s and '90s they are on the long-road to rebuilding. Help a country out!! Brick by brick, school by school

9) Because if you do, you can come visit the school and say, "Hey, I helped build that!!" and then eat some awesome fresh pineapple grown nearby!

10) Because you can tell your family and friends that you took part in building a school and they should bow down to your awesomeness.

11) Because you can take advantage of one of our perks in our online campaign

12) Because helping provide a school for kids who have no school at all feels really good. Try it and you'll see!!

Find out what happens when one school is brought to a rural and isolated area! We dare you!
