Happy Holidays from the Embassy of Liechtenstein - 2020 has certainly been quite a year. We cannot be more thankful for the first responders and all those on the front lines who have risked their lives in the US and around the world in facing this pandemic. Though many of us continue to shelter in place to one degree or another, we remain hopeful and look forward to coming out on the other side of this pandemic so that we can all do even more to help those who have lost so much...http://liechtensteinusa.org/article/happy-holidays-from-the-embassy-of-liechtenstein-0

Perspectives on the UN at 75

#Liechtenstein Foreign Minister Katrin Eggenberger on "Perspectives on the UN at 75" and the future of the #WomenPeaceAndSecurity hosted by Women in International Security and the Embassy of Liechtenstein: "Women and children are among the ones who pay the highest price during conflict. It is therefore key that our common responses are gender-sensitive and take into account the special needs of women and girls. Equally important is to recognize that women are not only victims, but also agents of change. In order to build back better, women must play an active role and be enabled to do so in leadership positions… Building back better also means building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels, providing equal access to justice for all, and promoting the rule of law at the national and international level… The UN – at the center of the international rules-based order - will continue to play a key role in this regard. The UN Charter provides us with guidance to strengthen international cooperation and solidarity, we should never forget its value and defend it whenever necessary."

Liechtenstein's Contribution to the Apollo 11 Moon Landing | Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Washington, D.C.

Thousands of people from around the world helped make the #Apollo11 moon landing a success, even from #Liechtenstein! A Liechtenstein company developed ultralight coatings applied to the lunar module to protect the astronauts from cosmic rays. #Apollo50th

On July 20, 1969, a collective dream became reality, with a footprint symbolizing this achievement. On that day, a human set foot on the moon for the first time. The limits of what seemed possible were now redefined. When the ambition was set by President John F. Kennedy to send a man to the moon an...
