Facts on Women in Innovation from a comparative Nordic study on Female Entrepreneurship in the Nordics 2020:
Women have less access to role models and smaller networks, which makes them less likely to innovate.
If the entrepreneurial culture is male dominated it is difficult for women to succeed.
Female entrepreneurs have less access to external funding than male entrepreneurs, which makes it difficult for them to expand. The gender gap in startup funding is still substantial.

Katrín Sigurðardóttir & Örn Arnar, Honorary Consuls of Iceland in Minnesota
This week we are very happy to introduce our two fantastic Honorary Consuls in Minnesota.
Örn Arnar has been Iceland´s Honorary Consul General in the state for the past 25 years and Katrín Sigurðardóttir has been Honorary Consul for 3 years.
A part from covering the State of Minnesota they also cover Iowa and South Dakota and other surrounding areas if needed. There are many Icelanders and Western Icelanders in Minnesota that they enjoy helping out.
In addition to promoting Icelandic culture and roots in Minnesota and assisting Icelanders in the area, Örn has been involved in work with the Icelandic Manuscript Institute at the University of Iceland (Stofnun Árna Magnússonar í íslenskum fræðum) in locating, preserving and digitizing all the literary material in books and other written material that the Icelandic immigrants brought with them. That way it can be made available to everyone, spreading the Icelandic literary culture.
