As the outside opens back up, we must be mindful that the pandemic is still very active. Wash your hands often, especially if you frequently interact with the public in your job. Keep hand sanitizer on hand in case you aren't able to reach a sink during your workday. Try to maintain a safe distance from all people you encounter. That means staying at least 6 feet apart. Working is essential, but nothing trumps your health.

Our Mission

The Safer, Stronger DC Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) was created to address violence in the District while assisting families dealing with the grief and trauma caused by these occurrences. As part of Mayor Bowser’s FY2018 Budget, and in compliance with the Neighborhood Engagement Achieves Results (NEAR) Act (PDF), ONSE created to consolidate the work being done by the Safer, Stronger DC Community Partnerships Office (SSDCCP) and the Community Stabilization Program (CSP) under one mission.
