Another academic year is quickly coming to an end. We have not recognized new officers who were hired at the beginning of the semester. Now is the perfect time to spotlight the SBG officers; we can't do without them to make SBG successful this semester. Thank you to Director of Equity, Dreek Faust; Director of Events, Brigitta Luttrell; Director of Finance, Ernesto Rodriguez.

Hello bisons!

Hope all of you are crushing the finals and are finishing strong! Just a few more days left of this academic week!

As of late last night, an email has been sent out with information about an election poll within the Student Body Government organization feature in Blackboard. Those who are current undergraduate students; grab the opportunity to review both candidates’ teams’ campaign pages and check out the debate #1 posted in the previous posts of this page recently. The deadline to vote in the poll is this Friday, May 7th at 11:59 PM.

- Aubrey Moorman: Presidential Candidate
- Tavier Maldonado: Vice Presidential Candidate

- JC Smith: Presidential Candidate
- Eliyas Assefa: Vice Presidential Candidate

The link to the video instructions from a previous post is here; https://fb.watch/59BL-YLihQ/. This voting poll is being done in the same method like this video.

The poll can only be submitted once per individual (undergraduate students) so take the candidates into consideration and then make a final decision on voting for either one of them or write in two candidates. Announcement of the result will take place approximately this Saturday late afternoon.

The date of inauguration will be announced shortly.

Share this post over and over daily if you would like to until this Friday at 11:59 PM as the poll itself will disappear.

Finish this semester strong! And have a great summer this summer!”

Gallaudet Student Body Government

Hello Bison!

At the start of this academic year, SBG decided we wanted to move forward with our online presence. As we looked at the student government organizations around us, we knew we wanted to elevate our organization with our very own Student Body Government website. Gallaudet SBG is proud to announce the unveiling of http://sbggallaudet.com. We hope this will be a platform for students to locate academic and social information pertaining to campus and community life.

With our page, students and community members will be able to find Student government members bios, recent news updates, a calendar to access campus event information, campus resource links, Covid-19 updates, and contact information for SBG. We look forward to maintaining this avenue for student involvement and access for years to come.

Sincerely,

The Student Body Government

We seriously need to do something about meal plans- coming fall 2019, no more 100 meal blocks. What’s even worse is that, 150 meal blocks is limited to commuter students. And, of course they’ve increased the prices. The food is not that even amazing at times. I’m surprised about the move they made despite numerous complaints among students.
