There are communities with access to the internet, and there are those without. This, put simply, is considered a digital divide.
The divide refers to how these communities are accessing information, and researchers from Georgetown's Tech & Society Initiative, the Beeck Center, Georgetown Law's Institute for Technology Law and Policy, and the Georgetown McDonough School of Business are working to close the gaps of accessibility.

In case you were wondering... What is Tropaia?
Tropaia essentially means Trophy and at Georgetown the Tropaia Ceremony is the event at which individual schools distribute awards. The word Tropaia is ancient Greek and referred to a monument constructed to celebrate a military victory.
