The Pittsburgh Post Gazette endorses Trump for President. First endorsement of a Republican in half a century. Makes a powerful case for PA voting for Trump over Biden.

Donald Trump is not Churchill, to be sure, but he gets things done.

"Afghanistan 2.0: Future Visions and Business Opportunities"
By Col. James L. Bullion (Ret'd.)
Board of Directors,
Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC)

It has been a year since Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah agreed to form a unity government in the wake of the contentious Presidential election. Progress has been slow as they seek consensus on cabinet appointments, diplomatic and security initiatives, and economic reforms. Their work is overshadowed by the drawdown of international forces, increased attacks by the Taliban, on-going suspicion from Pakistan, and worldwide donor fatigue and skepticism about Afghanistan's future. There is a never ending drumbeat of negative news stories that continue to portray Afghanistan as a country whose future is highly uncertain.

This perception masks the enormous potential of Afghanistan's economy. Afghanistan is going through a difficult transition with slowing growth rates, increased insecurity and balance of payment problems but it sits atop huge economic potential with abundant mineral and natural resources, a growing private sector lead by their agriculture and ICT sectors and the incredible creativity of its people. As the new government puts its energies into enabling and encouraging private sector investment, long-term, sustainable economic growth can take hold if its leaders make the right policy and investment choices now.

“Improving Afghanistan's Governance By Fighting Commercial and Government Corruption”

By Major General Arnold Fields (Ret'd.) Board of Directors, Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC)

Corruption is a global phenomenon. It needs to be firmly addressed by all nations and individuals. Corruption exists in developed and developing countries. No nation is immune from it but many nations have worked to overcome its ill effects.

How to Create One Million Private-Sector Jobs in Afghanistan
By Sayed Aziz Azimi

In their 2012 book Why Nations Fail, Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson argued convincingly that the key factor in the development of any nation is the level of inclusion of its population in the daily activities of political and social life.
