Louie Gohmert: ‘It’s time to bomb Iran’

Louie Gohmert says it's time to stop the weak-kneed responses to Tehran, Iran's games, and bomb their nuclear facilities to protect Christians around the world. Do you agree?

Tough-talking Texas lawmaker Louie Gohmert issued some unequivocal advice to President Obama during his recent radio interview on “Washington Watch,” telling host Tony Perkins it’s time the commander in chief take up bombs and send them Iran’s way.

General information

What is a Representative? Also referred to as a congressman or congresswoman, each representative is elected to a two-year term serving the people of a specific congressional district. Among other duties, representatives introduce bills and resolutions, offer amendments and serve on committees. The number of representatives with full voting rights is 435, a number set by Public Law 62-5 on August 8, 1911, and in effect since 1913. The number of representatives per state is proportionate to population. Article 1, Section 2 of the Constitution provides for both the minimum and maximum sizes for the House of Representatives. Currently, there are five delegates representing the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. A resident commissioner represents Puerto Rico. The delegates and resident commissioner possess the same powers as other members of the House, except that they may not vote when the House is meeting as the House of Representatives. To be elected, a representative must be at least 25 years old, a United States citizen for at least seven years and an inhabitant of the state he or she represents.

KUDOS TO THE CONGRESSIONAL REPUBLICANS WHO HONORED THE OBVIOUS ACCURACY OF THE VOTE, AND CERTIFIED BIDEN’S WIN. To their colleagues who voted against America’s electoral college: • You thrust a knife into America’s heart. • You were eager to throw America under the bus for the fools’ gold of political gain. • Get up from the gutter and try standing tall: Fast track impeachment to protect America from grave danger. • For 160 years, the United States Post Office has successfully delivered mail ballots. • An MIT study of 200 million mail ballots found them accurate, with only .00009% of them having issues. • Repeated studies back to President Bush found American voting free of fraud -- and cause for celebration. • Civil servants and citizen volunteers who administer the sacred voting process deserve our heartfelt gratitude. • Nothing has changed about the integrity of American elections. THE 2020 ELECTION IS "THE MOST SECURE IN AMERICAN HISTORY,” said Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Association of State Election Directors: • "There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised," All patriotic Americans must stand together in support the obviously fair and accurate election. That is what we do. We are Americans—free citizens of history’s greatest democracy.
Open Letter to Congress Has America lost its way? This statement specifically refers to the American political system and the Congress that was elected to do the people’s work. Let’s make no mistake about it; there will always be ideological differences in how business is conducted. It is how we approach that divide that truly defines American exceptionalism. For many years now, those elected to Congress have fervently clung to their deep-rooted beliefs; unable to compromise in any way with their fellow Americans on the other side of the aisle. This can be witnessed by the nearly insurmountable gridlock on Capitol Hill, where budgets cannot pass, continuing resolutions become the norm, acrimony prevails, and time and effort is wasted on purely partisan pursuits. The country that was built by America’s “Greatest Generation” is unraveling from within, threatening the democracy that so many have fought and died for. America has violence on the streets, calls to defund police, citizens losing their livelihoods due to a pandemic, stores shuttered, and good, hard-working Americans that are unable to put food on the table for their families. Meanwhile the very Congress that was elected to do the people’s business continually bickers and pulls back to their political entrenchments; unwilling and unable to compromise on a solution to help everyday Americans. Pointing fingers, spouting rhetoric; you have forgotten who you work for, who pays your salaries, and why you have been sent to Washington. If the best Congress can come up with is a 500-page bill in the middle of the night that no one has time to read and the American people have time to digest before it gets passed, then you resign and go home because you have abrogated your responsibility as hard-working representatives of the American people. Getting a bill through Congress is a matter of negotiation where there are no winners or losers. It is merely a culmination of the best possible outcome those with two different sets of opinions can achieve. Stop with the politics; let’s remember who you work for and stop kicking the can down the road. Stop wasting American taxpayer’s money on line-items that do not benefit hard-working Americans. This is after all, not your money. It is the American people’s money, as are the checks you receive to do the job you were sent there to do. Stop vilifying your fellow Americans on the other side that have a different opinion than you. In every decision you make you need to ask yourself, “does this benefit the majority of the people that sent me here to do my job?” It doesn’t matter that they were Republican, Democrat, or Independent or whether they voted for you or not. You were sent there to represent ALL Americans; not just those of your party. This is precisely the reason things don’t get done and we are experiencing our current state of affairs. The events of the past week have been sad, tragic, and disheartening, but are only an off-shoot of what has been brewing for the last several years. The discontent by many Americans that feel under-represented by Congress runs deep. Our allies are dismayed and our adversaries are gleeful at where we have evolved as a nation. Now Congress wants to waste even more time pursuing and extolling punishment over recent events when we really need to conduct some self-reflection and evaluation and begin to work together as team. Stop looking at problems as a win-lose proposition from a party perspective. If you do that, there will always be losers which merely perpetuates the status-quo. The reputation of Congress is about as good as day-old pizza. You work for all Americans; Christian, Muslim, Jew; Republican, Democrat, or Independent; black, brown, or white. It’s time you remember that and get back to work and provide some results and transparency to all Americans you have sworn to serve. This may mean rethinking some of your current positions and being open to compromise. Do you think you can do that for the good of America? Richard D. Campbell
TRAITOR NANCY PELOSI MIKHAIL GORBACHEV'S MOST USEFUL IDIOT IN OFFICE SINCE 1992. Since TRAITOR NANCY PELOSI HAD POWER OVER THE MILITARY BASE AND MONEY AND EQUIPMENT IN 1992 SHE COLLUDED WITH MIKHAIL GORBACHEV IN CONVERTING THE MILITARY BASE IN HER DISTRICT TO HER AND MIKHAIL GORBACHEV'S PERSONAL AGENDA WHICH WAS PLACING RUSSIAN TROOPS IN HER DISTRICT ON AMERICAN SOIL. ACCORDING TO POLITICO THE RUSSIAN MAIN GOAL WAS TO DISARM AMERICANS AND PUT THEM TO SLEEP. THIS IS THE REASON TRAITOR NANCY PELOSI WAS DUBBED MIKHAIL GORBACHEV'S MOST USEFUL IDIOT IN OFFICE SINCE 1992.
