More than 11,600 jobs in Arizona are supported by trade and investment between the Netherlands and the Grand Canyon State.
Ambassador André Haspels and Consul General Dirk Janssen traveled to Arizona and met with Governor Doug Ducey to discuss trade, innovation, and mobility. They reaffirmed our strong economic ties and friendship.
They also visited Luke Air Force Base, where Dutch F-35 pilots train as part of a multinational coalition. They thanked US leaders for supporting Dutch F-35 pilots, a great example of our close cooperation with the US.
A special moment also occurred for Siebe Van Der Zee, who was awarded the royal distinction of Knight in the Order of Oranje-Nassau. He served as honorary consul of the Netherlands in Arizona for 29 years, making an invaluable contribution to the relationship between NL and the US.
