Thanks to the Great American Outdoors Act Legacy Restoration Fund, a new creek crossing at Alkali Creek in South Dakota now provides safer, easier access to picnic areas at Fort Meade Campground and the Centennial Trail.

Investments like these help preserve America’s public lands, improve access for visitors, and strengthen outdoor recreation opportunities that support local communities.

This Fishing and Boating Week, we're celebrating how the Great American Outdoors Act Legacy Restoration Fund is expanding outdoor access across Bureau of Land Management public lands and waterways.

At Carbella Recreation Site in Montana, we replaced an outdated boat launch with a new, wider concrete boat ramp, improving access to the Yellowstone River and making it easier and safer for visitors to get out on the water.

With the new boat launch in place, more outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy whitewater rafting, floating, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and wildlife viewing on this scenic waterway.

This year, thousands of talented student artists from across the nation participated in the 2026-2027 Junior Duck Stamp Competition, showcasing their passion for wildlife and creativity.

Our team was thrilled to support the judging process and celebrate these young artists whose stunning works capture the beauty and diversity of America’s birds and wetlands. 🦆🌿
