DC Prep DC Prep is one of the oldest & largest public charter school networks in the nation's capital.

DC Prep is a network of public charter schools serving over 2,100 preschool through 8th grade students across six campuses in Wards 5, 7, and 8. We’re proud of being the highest-performing public charter network in Washington, DC – our students deserve our best! – while recognizing that how we support our students to be successful is as important as the results we achieve. DC Prep is outperforming the city!

We’re proud to share that two of our middle schools are among the DC public charter schools that outperformed the state on the 2026 DC CAPE assessment.

Benning Middle Campus outperformed the state in ELA, and Edgewood Middle Campus outperformed the state in both ELA and Math!

These results reflect the hard work of our Preppies, the dedication of our teachers and staff, community.

DC Prep’s Backpack Bash was a success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the start of a new school year.

DC Prep families and community members received new backpacks stuffed with school supplies, played games, and learned about helpful resources.

A special shout out to Martha’s Table for hosting, JPMorgan Chase for donating backpacks, and our volunteers for helping make the day possible.

Gracias a todos los que nos acompañaron para celebrar el comienzo de un nuevo año escolar.
