Tomorrow marks our FIRST Snack Shack of the school year, and we’re kicking things off with a crowd favorite: PIZZA! 🍕🔥

Stop by the JA side from 3:30–3:45 PM to grab your favorite snacks and treats, including chips, drinks, candy, cookies, sports drinks, water, and our special item of the week.

📅 Snack Shack happens every 1st & 3rd Friday, so there will be plenty more chances to treat yourself throughout the year!

A strong school day begins with being on time, fueled, and ready to learn! Breakfast is available each morning from 7:45–8:05 AM, and instruction begins promptly at 8:05 AM.

Families, please help us protect valuable learning time by having scholars arrive at 7:45 AM so they have enough time to eat, settle in, and be ready for instruction.

⏰ Scholars arriving at or after 8:05 AM may not have the opportunity to eat breakfast.
🍎 If breakfast is brought from home, it must be finished by 8:05 AM.

Friendship Woodridge will begin MAP Testing in two weeks!

The MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test is a computerized, adaptive test. It was developed as a tool to pinpoint a student’s strengths and weaknesses and tells where students are performing academically. It helps educators understand how to effectively approach each student’s progress and is administered 3 times a year.

📚💙 Pre-K Families, we’re getting ready for a strong start! 💛🦅

As we prepare to welcome our youngest Eagles for SY 2026–2027, please review these important updates for Pre-K Parent Orientation and the Friendship Before & After Care Program.

📅 Parent Orientation
Families will have two opportunities to attend:
• Monday, August 17 — Last names A–K
• Tuesday, August 18 — Last names L–Z
⏰ Orientation: 9:00–10:00 AM
🚗 Scholar drop-off: 7:45 AM
🎒 Please bring school supplies at 10:00 AM, not at morning drop-off.

Our Pre-K scholars will dismiss at 10:00 AM from the EA side on both orientation days.

🌞🌙 Before & After Care begins Wednesday, August 19!
Before Care begins at 7:00 AM, and After Care runs from 3:30–6:00 PM. Please remember that only scholars who have received approval and confirmation may attend.

We’re excited to partner with our families and make the transition into Pre-K smooth, welcoming, and joyful for every scholar. A strong school year starts with a strong school-family partnership! 💙💛
