Transgender American Veterans Association To ensure that all transgender veterans are treated with courtesy and respect and that health care providers recognize all current medical practices.

ces and dignified treatment by promoting the values of equality, fairness and respect on behalf of our members and provide a supportive community for Veterans who identify under the “Transgender Umbrella”. Our Goals:

To ensure that the Veterans Health Administration Directive 1341(2) is followed by all VA facilities and to assist any transgender and intersex veterans who still has problems with their VA facility. To cooperate with other organizations that assist transgender persons currently serving in the armed forces whenever feasible;

To cooperate with other veterans service organizations for the betterment of all American veterans whenever feasible;

To work toward the removal of the regulatory exclusion of Gender Confirming Surgeries.
