The ArtRave Artisan Market is now halfway through its 19th season, making it one of the top artisan markets in Washington, D.C.! Our carefully curated lineup of artisans spans a variety of creative disciplines, including fine art, stunning sculptures, ceramics, pottery, and woodwork—featuring unique tables and cutting boards, not to forget our jewelry crafters that do so well, week after week! We also have talented basket weavers and fashion designers.

This week, we’re excited to welcome a fragrance maker to our August 22nd show! Additionally, we’ll have a music group that not only performs but also showcases their incredible painting skills. They will entertain while displaying art as you’ve never seen before!

Our gourmet offerings include delicious breads, handcrafted desserts, and homemade honey.

We’re never satisfied and always strive to improve with each show. About two months ago, we introduced music that complements our artisans. These performers are also talented artists as well and will be displaying and selling their works at our show on August 8th.

We are excited to announce that all shows are sold out through August 8th. Looking ahead, we have a few openings for Art All Night on August 22nd, September 5th, and September 12th, as well as some availability in October and November. All this leading up to our well-known signature Xmas Extravaganza shows the first 3 Saturdays in December that attract a total of around 27,000 shoppers! Truth be told, ArtRave, with its 19-year history, is one of the most reliable venues you can participate in. Even if things start off a bit slow on rare occasions, momentum builds throughout the day, and by the end, everyone benefits—not just a select few. ArtRave minimizes these ups and downs by carefully curating a talented group of artisans and actively researching and sharing the latest tools to enhance their skill sets for free. This effort not only improves their presentations but can also contribute up to 60% of their sales!

Recently, ArtRave introduced an exciting feature: an in-house performing band that is also a fine arts group! They will both display and sell their works while performing (see background image) at the upcoming show on July 25th, featuring blended music!

In addition to our regular show schedule, ArtRave will host several noteworthy specials through December. One of them is ART ALL Night on Saturday, September 12th, from 5 PM to midnight, which attracts around 4,000 attendees.

Furthermore, don’t miss ArtRave's signature Christmas "extravaganza" shows on the first three Saturdays in December, which typically draw between 7,500 and 9,000 shoppers per show! We know it can be challenging to secure a reserved space for Christmas, but this year we are adding 20 additional spaces. So, apply now, along with all our regular Saturday shows.

People often ask what makes a market "a cut above the rest." The answer is threefold.

First, it’s essential to curate the right balance of artisans. This was crucial for the June 26th show. Due to the perceived threat of rain, ArtRave did not have our usual full complement of artisans; however, we still managed to present a full range of artistic disciplines that blended well, given the weather predictions.

Second, let's consider the weather itself. Had we relied solely on the forecasters, we would have followed the lead of other venues that closed, resulting in our missing out on potential revenue. Many who showed up to those closed venues found no one there and lost customers forever. In contrast, look at the crowds that still attended ArtRave! After 19 years of organizing these shows, conducting careful analyses, and, of course, crossing our fingers, we made it through the entire day without a hitch. As a precaution, we also added music for the first time, blending elements that captivated attendees’ attention.

Bottom line: every one of our artisans made money! It may have been a bold decision, but this is precisely why ArtRave stands out from the rest. They’re back! Remember the early days of ArtRave? We were one of the first indoor venues of its kind, where some of our talented artisans were also musicians. This unique blend led to the creation of ArtRave Friday Nights, featuring unusual performances and unusual art exhibitions.

Fast forward to now: we're excited to announce that they are back and will be performing this Saturday at our Dupont Circle venue! They will have over 20 feet of space dedicated to displaying and selling this extraordinary art, plus additional space to perform!
