Equality PAC is dedicated to bringing nearer the full legal and societal equality of LGBT people and creating a federal legislative environment conducive to that goal. Equality PAC will support openly LGBT candidates running for federal office, as well as members of the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus who are facing tough re-election challenges. Contributions to Equality PAC are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Federal law requires Equality PAC to use best efforts to report name, address, employer, and occupation of all individuals who contribute over $200 per calendar year. Contributions can be accepted from individuals, nonmulti-candidate PACs, and multi-candidate PACs totaling up to $5,000 per calendar year. Federal law prohibits contributions to Equality PAC from corporations, labor organizations, national banks, from any person contributing another person’s funds, from foreign nationals who lack permanent resident status, and from federal government contractors. Paid for by Equality PAC and not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
