Big cheers for Girl Scout Troop 44123! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽ‰โœจ

These amazing scouts assembled Comfort & Care Kits for families served by Friendship Placeโ€™s Neighbors First Families Division, and we are so grateful for their kindness, creativity, and community spirit. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿก๐ŸŒŸ

Each kit is packed with helpful everyday items, including wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, baby shampoo, Aquaphor, baby lotion, baby sunscreen, coloring and activity books, hand sanitizer, small stuffed animals, bottled water, and kid-friendly snacks. ๐Ÿงด๐Ÿชฅ๐Ÿงผ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง๐ŸŽ

The troop also collected diapers separately so families can receive the sizes they need most. ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’›

For families moving from homelessness toward stability, these kits bring practical support, comfort for children, and a beautiful reminder that their community cares. ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿค

Thank you, Girl Scout Troop 44123, for showing what compassion in action looks like! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‘โœจ

Friendship Placeโ€™s AimHire Job Placement program is in need of SmarTrip card donations with money loaded on them to help participants travel to job interviews, new jobs, training opportunities, and other employment-related appointments.

Many AimHire participants are rebuilding their lives after experiencing homelessness and re-entering the workforce. A loaded Metro card can remove a major transportation barrier and help someone take the next step toward stability.

โœ… Suggested balance: $20
โœ… Please make sure donated SmarTrip cards have fare loaded on them.

A brown bag lunch can be more than a meal.

For residents of La Casa, Friendship Placeโ€™s permanent supportive housing program in Washington, DC, a ready-to-eat lunch is a simple act of care that helps offer nutrition, dignity, and community connection.

Weโ€™re looking for volunteers, donors, faith communities, civic groups, and good-hearted neighbors to help provide 40 brown bag lunches for La Casa residents.

Your meal can remind someone rebuilding their life that they are seen, valued, and supported.

A home is more than four walls.
For many individuals and families moving into housing after experiencing homelessness, a working television can bring comfort, connection, routine, and a sense of normalcy to an otherwise empty apartment.
Friendship Place is currently seeking gently used TVs in working condition to support neighbors rebuilding their lives after homelessness.
Your unused TV could help make a new apartment feel like home. ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ’™
Email [email protected] if you can help.
Friendship Place is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
